Literally over 12 staff have now resigned over this, with more thought to follow soon, with over 6,000 signatures on the petition and ALOT of popular deviants basically pulling all their deviations from the site and refusing to submit more until hes re-instated..

I'm deffinatly one against him being removed.. the rest of the guys seem to lack a sense of humour, especially one as rich as Jarks

I've been doing a lot of reading about this, so many important people over there have been putting up major protest to this. Long journal entries and heartwrenching anectodes all make for a still very confusing situation as to what ACTUALLY happened. For all we know, Scott (Jark) Jarkoff could have gone into a bank and shot 15 people and that is their reason for letting hime go. I feel like while we should all be sympathetic to his sudden and apparently meaningless (as there has bee NO official word either way) rejection from the society he helped create, it may be neccessary to understand that there are two sides to every story, and before a thousand more of you go off on a "Save Jark" crusade, get your facts straight, please.

I'm sure many of you are against his being removed, I myself never came in contact with him and therefore have a somewhat , though not wholly, unbiased standpoint to this matter. It is clear that something major has happened over at dA, but there have been absolutely no official details released on the issue. While the fact that the dA staff has not responded to this event is surprising and will arouse suspicions, I think it is for the greater good that we remain calm, and understand that we not only have no control over situations like these, but also that when we know so little, our speculations can only do more harm.

i don't think i've seen any violent protest to the semi-announcement of jarks leaving... but he had to put up a warning to get people to stop calling up staff and making crude remarks/leaving bad messages on their phones

which is pretty bad really :/

ThaBirdman some good points but this is big news in the art and graphics community, imagine if the Google Boys were sacked or Bill Gates (just for examples) everyone would want to know why and people won't wait too long for a truthful answer, so yes rumors will fly and they only bring that on themselves for not being 100% honest with the members. Without the members DA would be nothing they need to look at that.

We cannot say its not our business as majority of us are members there.

If he done anything in his personal life it should not be attached to the site at all, my feelings on that.

He is a Founding Member one who helped open the doors to DA

the main reason people are angry about this is because theres no answers.. theres nothing to say WHY hes gone, WHY hes left... and the focus is purely around pushing the focus away from it

i count over 15-20 staff that have left because of this so far...

including Kevin who I consider one of their lead coders (who also codes over at shiver 7) and matteo (the co-founder WITH jark of dA)...

to be honest, even if he comes back, would the staff? would he come back with the guys who forced him out still there? theres alot of things to be answered yet

Ive been reading on this and it's sad - most is probably rumours though!

Why doesn't jark reveal why he's been sacked - he claims to know why!

The truth behind deviantART.

I am a big supporter of jark and really into this, i informed jay of it yesterday glad to see P2L has been paying attention to it too.

Just like the rest of you i do not know why exactly he was removed. all i know is that its a bunch of bull, but as matt has said, if it comes to where they lose the company in court, he shall create a new community, a new deviantART that is focused not on profit but on people just like dA was suppose to be.

My opinion is if he has to do that, im right there behind him 100% as long as Jark is once again there.

This is just like if Jay were to fire Faken from P2L. How can you take man away from his creation.
