Hey Guys! :D

As you know I designed my personal site, but now I need to make the site for my desgin site. This is going to be the site where I show off my work etc. :D

I need a few idias from ppl and all folks on what would be the best way to design it? Size etc. I do all this in PSCS2, so that`s why I`m asking for size. lol.

What colours to use?
Would Vector be cool?

etc etc...basecly I`m asking about everything that has nothing to do with coding.
Like I tell grizzmo "I design it, and it`s your job to code it enyway I make it" :)

I would make the design accomodate users on an 800x600 pixel screen resolution. So when you open up photoshop, make your canvas size lower and 800, and lower than 500. I usually do my canvas at 768x480. I also enable the grid and set to gridline every 96 Pixels and have 6 sub-divisions. This just helps me work with my website more effeciently.

As far as content goes, something nice, pristine, simple, and a mixture of cool/warm colors if you feel. Create a few mockup designs, and then see which ones you like the best and go from there!

As far as colors go, go for an analougus(sp?) color theme. They are basically colors right next to eachother on the color wheel. So, like, Red, Red-Orange, Yellow; Blue, Blue-Green, Green. I think you see the point. Mixing two color themes can be nice too, try that.

All the stuff that sillwolffe said is good advice.

Minmalistic design is of course preferred. Pretty graphics are nice, but don't overdo it.
