....... Iam just starting to read throught tutorials for creating sigs, but i am getting messed up with the basic of backgrounds.
I choose a brush and start to fill the background but this just turns into a block of colour rather than the cloudy , lines, ect. effect that everyone else has and i cant see where i am going wrong.
Can anyone help me please?

Dont actaully brush, just hover and click once
don't move your mouse whilst you have clicked down. Once you released the mouse button, move your mouse in a different location and then click again...
Think of it as a brush in real life...

I think he uses the normal PS brushes

have downloaded plenty of new brushes.
i have tried hoverig an clicking rather than holding the mouse buton but still seem to not ge the same sort of result as i what i seeon this site for sigs.

Also as a sidenote: you can play with the settings for your brushes by going to window >> brushes in photoshop (or by hitting F5 on your keyboard)
