I need some advice, my website www.blackholemedia.co.uk is a mixture of a portfolio site and somewhere i can shoot the shit. ButI've been reading about weblogs for a while now and I'm wondering should I add a blog engine to my site?

At the minute all my text and content updates are done through dreamweaver so is it worth while adding a blog engine so people can comment on my topics or should i just continue using dreamweaver? What are the advantages for using a blog engine? are they easy to customise? do anybody have any experience with adding blog engines or have any useful advice?

I wrote my own for php and I was much happier. It doesn't have comments in it but I am working on that part. You can use scripts like cute news and whatever else is out there!

Hm... About blogging thins... I will suggest Wordpress. Which is famous and easy configurate blog script, easy to custormize as well. You can try to read www.liewcf.com for custormization of Wordpress.

About the worth of blogging? Hm... It might bring you traffic and profit as well. As Google and Yahoo (Even friendster) started their own blog, why not you?

Yeap. Wordpress is under GNU or something MovableType was once free, but now... It's a good blog script as well

r these blog scripts php based? what format are the templates or thems in? Ideally i want to redesign my site and have it coded in xhtml and css with a blog included in the design.
