Hi everybody,

I have designed a layout in Photoshop sliced it and bring it to Dream weaver. The Photoshop file size I have taken is 1024 x 768 pixels. (I feel this is the standard size for a web site)...

Up till this everything is fine but when I take the layout to Dream weaver and see it with 800 x 600 resolutions after preview there is a big gap showing on the left hand side of the browser and unnecessary the scroll bars are appearing?

Also when I delete certain slices it disturbs the whole layout.

How I can fix this problem?

Thank you.

for starters 800 x 600 is the standard web layout size since people still use the 800 x 600 resolution.

HAve you tried looking at in on 1024 x 768 resolution?

Hi,

I am designing it in 1024 x 768 dimension file in Photoshop.

One more problem I am facing. I have added the background for the TD on the right hand side of the layout and when I am trying to align the text or links in the navigation row the is getting disturbed; like how to align the navigations links properly?

Thnx. In advance for any help

try creating the table yourself instead of letting photoshop do the job

the standard is not 1024x768, thats the resolution of a screen, not a website.
If you want the website to fit in the browser, you need to use a 1000px width and the height of your choice (doesn't have to be 768). The 24px remaining is for the scrollbars if needed.

Can you show an example of that navigation?
