(I've noticed the "seniors" of my day whern I was a young P2Lian have moved one and SHIVMOO, syntex and others like me have taken their place :S - still see some around like Andy and such)

this is my 1st major project and the dalek is gonna be my second lol

can someone help me? how do i cut things out of objects? cause its been puzzeling me for ages

like have one object move it into another click a button and it deletes what its inside, cause i used to do 3d mapping for games n stuff n thats how i made a fair few things

its called a boolean, you can find it in the compound objects menu.

although alot a people frown upon it and prefer to use polys or something else. has a funny effect on models soemtimes.

Just found this competition, and so if I am able to post pictures from MY computer (Long story... messed up my wireless card... I have to borrow other people's comps to get online), I want to enter too!

Edit: Do candles count? I've got a couple of them sitting above my desk, and my parents have them all over the house... would that work? If not, I'll render something different.

Guess my skinning will take a bit longer than I though, took a bit to much polygons on my model at my quite good computer, didn't lag so much so now on the "old one" still good but not so good
