Hi,

I have 3 main columns on a site im making. The centre column is the content, the left and right columns are for ads. If there isnt too much content in the centre column, all is fine. But once the centre column stretches to accomadate for lots of content, the left and right columns stretch aswell and the layout is ruined. Ive sliced in Photoshop and are working in DW MX2004.

Heres and example of what im making, only this one works...

As you can see the left and right columns are fine no matter how much info is in the centre column.

Matt

A common question.

Here's what I would do. First make a new table with 3 rows, put your header in the top and footer in the bottom.

In your middle row, set vertical align to "top" and horizontal align to "center". Make 3 tables, the first is for your left ads, the center is for your stretchable content, and the right is for the other ads. Be sure to assign a width to each table so they only expand downward.

This way when the center table expands, the others don't.
