how can i do rounder corner with gradient tool so that it loks like pipe turns 90degrees, i tryed with lightning effect way, using alpha channel etc. but the result is too smooth.

exactly like that, but the corner should be rounded... so hows that done

there are numerous ways.... if your a bit of a noob... you could try using the circular marquee tool. or an easier way would be.... maybe the eraser tool.

I'd suggest, if you follow andy's thingy (no, not that thingy), that you press and hold "Ctrl+e" to merge your layers, then holding "ctrl" select that one layer in your layer palette. Select>Inverse Then Select>Smooth and how many pixels you want to round it by.
