Hmm.. I'll warn you ahead of time, I'm very harsh. I will try and be nice. I will try and keep it short but detailed enough to maybe help you.
To make it simpler for you, I will list a few things I think that need to be changed in point form, I'm not saying you must change them... obviously, but to me I think it would brighten it up... a lot.
*I'm not sure if you used textures or just played with GradMaps, but if you used textures, use more... defined ones?
*Take some of the color/texture away from the image, make a layer mask, take the airbrush eraser tool, set it to a lower opacity, then play around and try and take some off but not too much. It'll let the images come out a little bit, this can help the graphic or ruin it so be careful!
*The brushes don't really "go" with the image... Well personally I don't think that... but you can keep 'em and it'll still be fine.
*The border type thing you've got going on needs to go.
That's about it, please do realize I aimed to takeout all the BAD things and not the good. This way it is more helpful. I find the way it is a fairly nice graphic, practice makes perfect!
Sorry if that was a tad harsh, but I really think you could develop great talents if you worked hard on it.
