Is Windows a Virus!?!?!

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:
* They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.
* Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.
* Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.
* Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh... Windows does that, too.
* Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. Yup, that's with Windows, too.
Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences:Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.
So Windows is not a virus.
It's a bug.
LOL!

Eh, too bad, you'll get over it. Ummm here's some more stuff to piss you offdo i hate reading these stupid posts bashing a pretty decent OS.... YES
1- Microsoft invented nothing, it copies, (Macintosh, DR-DOS, Stacker, Wordperfect, Netscape) or buys (FoxPro, Softimage, Norton Backup, Central-Point Anti-Virus) ideas from others. Small companies make innovations, and then their ideas are taken by Microsoft. When Microsoft has no competition in a given market, there is no more innovation...
Who will develop new things when they know that Microsoft will take it away from them ?
What will happen when Microsoft will have nobody to copy from?
2- Microsoft offers only inferior products, and with its money imposes them as standards, blocking better products in order to gain market share.
3- Microsoft uses unfair practices to keep control of the market:
Dumping: Dumping is illegal, but Microsoft is dumping Internet Explorer only to destroy Netscape market share.

Nothing surprises me about CEOs/businesses nowadays, 'cept for Apple I know I can trust them .it may suprise you to find out Google does exactly the same thing... infact its buying a few start up companies specifically for certain important developers (ie ex key Apple developers, MS developers etc.)

Yes, Microsoft does buy from other companies, like DOS, but thats what i call a keen sense for business. Bill Gates must be one of the best economists ever.
If you call IE Dumping (which I admit is a browser that need impoving) then what about Safari? The only reason Microsofts products are seen as standards is because THE SELL SO DARN WELL.
By the way, you could fill in Mac OSX for every single one of those points in one way or another

They stole ideas from mac? Then why do Macs use MICROSOFT office?1- Microsoft invented nothing, it copies, (Macintosh, DR-DOS, Stacker, Wordperfect, Netscape) or buys (FoxPro, Softimage, Norton Backup, Central-Point Anti-Virus) ideas from others. I myself like Windows, I see nothing wrong with it. The only thing that is wrong with it IS THE PERSON USING IT! You control it not the other way around, YOU control the content you go on. if YOU go on an untrusted site/source that you get virus from its YOUR FAULT! The computer didn't tell you to go there.
The most common reasons why people get infected with Virus, spyware, maleware is because they go on UNTRUSTED SITES / SOURCES, such as Warez, Porn, Gettting Hacks/Cracks for software/games.
I've done it and been there, which by doing so suprise suprise I got infected with Viruses, Spyware malware etc. You don't get a bloody virus by double clicking on Internet Explorer for visiting Google!
Another way is by downloading trial software! You learnt to read yet? Thats why theres that disclaimer that appears when you go to install software, it usually states what your agreeing to the terms for using that peice of software.
Also in some mobile phones / digital devices whats powering them? Suprise suprise Microsoft!
If Microsoft went bust then you'll find the world will stop! You won't get newer consoles, mobile phones, games etc. As people that design these before making them are done of a PC that has Microsoft as the OS.
