Don't let a few morons set your mind in stone about the police forces of New Orleans. These people are dealing with a nightmare that will probably scar most of them for life. Well.. the cops that didn't drown saving people anyhow (MANY officers died during initial rescue operations).

Well, I just have to say, that in a situation like that you need to take care of yourself, doesn't matter how.. sure as cops you somehow should be representative but... as faken said, it's a nightmare for these people.

Yea. Im with Faken on this one. They live in New Orleans too. So basically they are victimzed too. And I doubt that they get paid enough to get through this.

I heard that there were some suicides within their own ranks because some were just so traumatised by what they had seen. There seemed to have been 2 kinds of looters....those going out for own personal gain and those looting to survive.
