Hello guys.

I have in my posession the right to give away an invite to start a blog at wordpress.com . When having received and activated the invite, you will get a subdomain of wordpress.com, which hosts a copy of the newest wordpress version. It also allows you to upload some files to a folder, like other wordpress versions do so as well. The total file limit is 100 MB.

So far I haven't seen any FTP details or an online filemanager, so I'm kinda wondering what to do when I want to delete files.

But that's not the point. The point is that I want to give away a wordpress.com for free: I do not request anything in return. The only requirement you will have to meet is a good motivation for bloggin. An example motivation would be something like you've eg. just become a father and want a spot to post up all the pictures of your lil' baby. The purpose of Wordpress's invite system was to allow the most fanatic bloggers to start blogging. So, if you'd like the invite, post up a little something here, and you might just get it. With a little something, I mean maybe a motivation of some sort

A friend passed me an invite, so I started my blog. With that, I get to spend one as well. The invites all go via-via, I have no idea where my friend got it from.

Note that wordpress.com so far hasn't allowed me to customize the themes that come with it. They might be working on this, I don't know. The whole project is still buggy in dark and loomy places here and there, and constantly under construction.

Hey i would like it. I use myspace right now with my friends but we all hate it and it is a place for all of us to keep in touch with each other when we dont see each other. It would be great. I have been trying to get some multi blog software but can't find any. Also all my friends like wordpress so this is a chance for use to get one a blog software that is great.

I know what wordpress is but i don't understand what the point of an invite is :S Couldn't you just get some cheap/free hosting and install it? Then you'd also have the ability of being able to try other products..

you could indeed. It's not my problem what you are going to do with it I've seen an invite on eBay and figured invites are kinda wanted. Might as well share it with someone here in the community.

Maybe people do it for the *.wordpress.com

I'm enjoying my account anyway. I'll send the invite to someone in a few hours. Keep ya updated.
