Everybody!!! Big fish, little fish caaardboard box!

Anyways, British all the way. Quite a good list by the way Apache, although I would add Kasabian and Gorillaz to that - my two most listened to albums.

American, Deathcab for Cutie and Bright Eyes.

Though contemplation of my death would come soon after realizing I couldn't head Led Zeppelin or Radiohead again.

Every country has something great to contribute to rock. 99% of music listeners seriously do not have the knowledge to know otherwise. If you truly appreciate music and it's many faces, you can not say "so and so country all the way!". People generally say that, yet probably know very little about music or it's origins.

It surprises me even to this day how little people realize about music. A great example is Metallica. Look at the tabs on Metallica's music sheets... it's actually classical music with an increased tempo and distortion. That's why the S&M album is so perfect. I have yet to meet a Metallica fan that knew that.

Anyhow, as a general rule, people are way too closed minded to answer this because they don't know any better. Not trying to be offensive, it's just the way it is.

Just a thought, but i dont think I agree.

GEnerally you can say that you prefer one countries music to the next simply because even if you say "Rock", two countries may have a different style of rock. Of course theres always the exception tothe rule, but I can say that I seriously prefer british indie and alternative to american.

British bands. There's all the modern ones. Plus you got The Beatles and The Who.

Go old skool! Word.

I know I may be biased but it would have to be British bands. American bands always seem too polished - even the punk bands. The market is alot different to here in the UK and there's a hell of a lot more money involved which seems to hinder its innovation.

British music on the other hand seems to have a certain amount of sophistication and creative freedom at the moment. Just check out Bloc Party

Absolutely fantastic stuff... ;)
