On September 11, 2001, four U.S. planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people in a matter of hours. Behind the staggering number of deaths are the individuals, each of whom left behind family, friends and co-workers who feel the national tragedy on a personal level. CNN.com has established this site as an evolving record of those who died and a place for readers to build a living memorial for them.
We ask no member to mock or ridicule this thread in anyway please, this is not about war & politics its to remember all those precious lives (2,749) that were taken http://edition.cnn.c.../lists/by-name/ and the families that were left behind.

I remember I was in sixth grade in english calss when it happened. the headmaster asked that all the teachers bring their students to the theater and he told us what happened. When we were dismissed a couple people set up a TV and were watching it. I caught a glimpse right when the tower collpased...that was scary.

wow...that is totally out of your hands man, you cant take the blame for that kind of thing! I'm sure there's more to the story than just that but really, I'm sure there was nothing you could do.
I remember my entire school spent the rest of the day on the internet, watching footage and trying to make sense of the situation. While half of the kids worried about their parents who work in NYC, more than a few of whom worked in the WTC (I live about 40 mins outside NYC, so MANY people commute). It was a horrifying time. My heart goes out to all those affected by this incredible loss.
