Well I am designing a series of sites for several companies, and im gonna have several hundred kickin' around, and I was just wondering how much it would cost to contract out a GOOD php coder to assist in the creation of a website. Like I was thinking somewhere in the ballpark of 700, but I just wanna get your guys humble opinions.

The project, btw is a deviant art esque site, but with many stipulations and differences.

I do full sites for under $200 (with my totally awesome PHP skills as seen in my tutorials on twodded) but at this moment I can't really make sure I get the job done within a deadline because of personal things (college, girlfriend, band).

700 for one site, but they do what I needs, my precious...

lol. Anyways, it would be 700 for one great site, but would be divided if there is more then 1 php-er. If there is 2, its 350 each etc..

And its not up to me if there is 2, if I chose 1 person, if he finds it overloading i'll find another

this is all hypothetical, but I am planning on doing something to this effect in the near future.

hmm, for me to do it i'd need half before starting, and from the looks of things i doubt you'd do it

also, it depends heavily on what the site is supposed to do and how big it is

He is not asking for somebody to be hired, just how much it would cost.

I know someone who's pretty good with PHP. He's still learning new features, but he's very fluent with it. I'll give him the URL of this thread to see if he's interested.

[<-- Silwolffe's friend. ] Well, I have done PHP for a short time, but I know quite a bit about it. I currently know how to operate sockets, query MySQL Databases, performing folder recursion, and several other high-level attributes.

I pretty much have an extensive background of starting off with Visual Basic 6, then moving on to C++, then C#, some Java, then PHP and VB.NET. I started programming about 2 weeks after I got my first PC too, about 3 years ago. o_O (Had a mac prior)

I might not be great at making deadlines, seeing as I too have college coming up, and a good classload. However, it would all depend how soon you would like those deadlines to be fulfilled. For the most part, I am always working my butt off on the computer, usually doing PHP or .NET programming.

Well anyways, i'm 19 years old. I don't have any job experience yet, but yeah... I'm not usually on these forums; I was just referred here. If you're interested, you can contact me at kisanarou@comcast.net. Thanks.

Edit:

Findign this to be rather off-topic, i would say the price for a PHP coder would vary depending on the job and uality of work to expect. Deadlines are always a problem for coders. Some may make you pay for their caffiene intake. :)

To all the members peddling your services (Jay excluded if course ) this isn't the place. He's merely asking what a reputable coder would cost. If he needs one I'm sure he'll post in the hire section like a good little boy :(

Yeah, it will be soon, and if you have work to show, I would consider you, otherwise take a hike.

Well you see... it depends on the project. If you want a complete customizable portal system, secure and fast, it might cost you almost $2000 a site. Where as if you need maybe a news script it might cost as low as $20.

For portal systems each page can vary also. Like I said previously a news script could take up $20, but a forum script could cost almost $400. Core would probably $500... and go from there. If your going ourly, $40-$50 would probably be a good bet.

All money United States Dollar.
