Tysoft is modifying the backup routine so that it keeps the nighty database backup for several days in a row. Lesson learned I guess. :/meh there just stupid iddiots that have nothing better to do then go around hacking sites because the pwn their noob skills. Faken may i sugest making your own backups from now on? I have been making backups on my site every other day for thep ast year adn when anything happened, bam rihgt back withen an hour.
This wasn't really much of a hack job... they just ran a script already available to exploit the hole in v1.3. They didn't really have to put much thought in it - which of course is totally separate from the database and coding for the tutorials. That is all done custom by us.

Well we already had backups, but the site was hacked probably minutes before the backup ran, and overwrote the old one. If this would have happened and day before or day later, we would have been fine.thats gonna be better so next time something happens u will have a backup

In the testing stage of implementing new MySQL backup strategry across all my servers.
Will be keeping 3 copies of MySQL backups (1,2,3 days old), instead of having the nightly copy overwrite the old one every night.
