this is my first layout ive ever made, its not for a site, but it could b, lol, feedbak would be appreciated good or bad thx

Nice work, for your first layout, but here's what i think needs improving:

Try a different colour other than red. It seems too dark, you know what I mean? Something lighter, and nicer to the eyes, i'd say a silvery and green theme, or something like that.

The way you have it laid out is pretty good, could be improved there as well slightly, but i'm not sure how, can't put my finger on what I dislike about the menus. Overall, a brill job for your first.

I think the same as Tasha, and I suggest a blue color, blue almost always fit fine
And I'd also try to improve the header, more effects, more professional (maybe using some tutorial that you can find here in pixel2life).
But, as they've said before, nice layout to be your first one.

Very nice for your first layout.

I think there is too much red in there. I Just don't think red is used too much in sites anymore. I think people are starting to use blue, green, and white more often (funny...Just like Pixel 2 Life). I would stick to those colors. At the very top you have pixel scanlines. Honestly I'm not a big of them there. They are fine elsewhere when you get one or two of them.

The copyright is another thing I didn't like. The text I think should be changed and it should be smaller because it only says "aj". Usually you would see more then that in a copyright.

Now the banner is the thing that turned me off. I don't like that you have a banner inside a banner. If you are going to put images in it then but them right into the banner (the inner one) and make it take up that space. Looks a lot better that way.

I see white and black lines on there. It looks like you are trying to make a popular effect out of it. If you are then it's 1 px. lines.

In content boxes I see grey at the top of them. I'm not a big fan out of that.

Other then those things (not sure if there are other things) it's fine. I gve it a 3/10.

as much as i agree with most of the comments...on a personal level i like the red. im soooo sick of passively-colored sites.

Looking good, I think you need a second color to contrast with the red, whether it be white, blue it should make it look a little better
