Linux isn't my main OS, but I like to play around with it a bit. It's pretty neat once you get used to using the CUI along with the GUI.

I Personally like fedora core - that's my favorite distribution I set up a fully-featured ftp/apache/php/mysql/qmail server at home. I love linux, but for the best All-around OS I'd choose OS X by a LONG SHOT Linux is probably my favorite server OS though... it never dies.. my server stays up for EVER..

I'm Linux all the way. The only problem is that the games I play aren't for Linux. So, I have my computer dual booted with Fedora Core and WinXP pro. But you better believe that when or if someone starts porting games like CS, HL2, Doom 3, etc... to Linux, I'll be on it 24/7/365.

I too have a dual-boot. Gentoo and XP for me
I wish they'd port Dreamweaver & Photoshop to Linux. If they did, the only reason to have Windows would be games

You're right. I tried using the gimp, but it didn't really work out too well. I just wanted to try out linux, but I guess if you use a program like WINE to use PS and Dreamweaver, you could go full linux.

Yea, I tried The GIMP, but I didn't like it. Too different from PS.
Oh and good luck getting either programs to run on WINE. only like 15% of people that've tried it got either to work.

I have Mandrake 10.1 currently - Used to have SuSe, Red hat, Knoppix and Ubuntu at various times as well
At one point of time, even set up a quadruple boot setup with WinXP Pro, Win 98, Mandrake 10.0 and Knoppix
But don't use it much nowadays
The other day I even forgot how to extract a .gz file - took me a while to figure out the tar -xzvf file.tar.gz part
Its a nice OS and a good change from windows

I used to run Red Hat on my other computer when I used it as a web server.

Actually, if you really want a good server that runs well and is very customizable, Gentoo is perfect, because you compile it on the machine that it will be running on, so no compatibilty problems. You set everything up yourself, so you know exactly where things are and usually how to fix them.
