:D It doesn't validate

....target="_blank".....

So what can I use which does the same thing and validates Strict?

InFnit change your doc type

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

It does tell you that too btw <3

strict is generally an ass, most things don't validate.. infact i never use it purely because its a complete dis-convience to the coder, and does nothing for the user

Usually I use Transitional if I can be bothered switching it, since HTMLGate just defaults to Strict when you click New. I need to change prefs or something...ah well...stupid strict

Indeed it will validate when using the above.
