Here's a picture of the design I've done for my new website. Let me know what you think  .

I'm hoping I can get the site finished fairly soon.

I've made the logo look a bit more tidy. I'm not sure about whether to keep the stroke effect on the "MJC" text though - :D maybe it's fine.

;) Thanks for the comments. I've sliced it so that the big blank area of grey is where the content will go and it can expand down as far as I need (as well as to the right if it needs to). I've also sliced a column down the left side below the blue buttons which I can fill.

Here's an example:

EDIT: By the way Jay, I'll be adding a link to your site before I put it up :D .

Thanks Jay. In terms of content like news etc, I'll probably keep it fairly simple as I don't know much code at all and it's my first real attempt at a website anyway ;) . I assume for more active and frequently updated stuff like that I'd need to code it in php and I don't really know any php ;) . One step at a time :D . Any text such as on the main page will just be html in the main content area.

It will be more of a sort of personal homepage with a gallery / portfolio etc than a community site :) . Any more comments very welcome - thanks.

May I suggest using scripts instead of using html?

For news use Cute News
For a Shout-Box use G2G
Or use this for news Infinite News

Anything else you want? I will find you anything that ya need!
