Hello::

The audio player that was created here works great. But I have a question... When I place this inside it's own movie clip which is in another movie clip (which contains the roll over animation) which is placed on the main stage... that's when it breaks. I'm trying to set up a movie clip that when the users rolls over the tab the movie clip animates and the audio controls become visible. The trouble if the user desires just to turn the sound down he/she cause parts of the code to call the sound files to reload the songs while it's already playing causing an overlay of multiple tracks. If the user moves in and out of the button area it just continues to reload the track.

Can you help

here's an example...

here's my file...

thanks for your time

okeydokey... after a while I've figured it out that you used flash 8.. :P
anyway..

The problem was inside the MC container-audio_container_movie on layer 5
the animation you made looks pretty, but as soon as the playhead reaches the frame labeled "rl" the mc is reloaded in to the stage, causing the to start new.
an easy work around is to extend the layer 5 with the mc from beginning to end, so that it doesn't load again.

I just put a keyframe on frame 1 and frame 43, tested it out, and everything works fine now.

Just as advice... Since flash 8 is brandnew.. I don't think that most people on the forum have access to it. so if you have a problem, post the fla file in the flashmx format so it can be opened with the "older" versions :D

if you need the revised fla file or have any other questions drop me a PM or post in this topic.
