[Fade Away]

I used the photoshop tutorial in twodded, got the basic idea, and then did it in Macromedia Fireworks 8



I know there are many things to work on, just point them out and explain how to fix it, please. Thanks.

Like the planet texture but the shadowy bit needs some work IMO

True, most planets you can still see the outline, just greatly darkened at one point...but not completely invisible Also, at the bottom, I may be mistaken, but either the planet went see through, or its an asteroid belt, and the black is the shade.

Yes, well you see, photoshop has a thing that makes your texture spherical, and Fireworks.. does not.

I'm trying to reproduce that effect, but it's difficult :/

Maybe some light brushing... like you would on a sketched sphere on paper... tonal drawing ina circular motion working your way to the center... does anyone know what i mean?
