right you lot, im really quite stuck atm, i was following a tutorial and i got this far




now im completly lost on how to complete it. im absoloutly n00b at web design, maby if you guys n girls posted some comments it would be muchly appreated

i think you have the right idea... i know what you mean tho, i get and idea and then completely lose track of where i'm going or to complete what i want. i guess if i was you i would run with what you have, maybe start adding in a menu and areas for your info... etc. those bars that surround your main header could be used to make ur menu and such... and footer. i think your header would look good if you maybe put some txt over it or added some color.

I also think this is a good start. I like the borders. I think you should use them on the rest of the site. Use the same technique adding menu and other boxes. The same on a content box in the middle.

You should also write the site name with a big matching text on the empty place in your header.
