This pic attached (its not mine i dont claim any responsability for creating it) has an awesome horror text effect like light is shining behind it in places, how do i recreate it??? any points to tutes or anything would be class.

hold on, its not just putting a cloud render in the background of the text and fiddling with the blending options is it?

Yah, i'd say the blending options were played with, and duplicates wer emade of the layer, outer glows on some too.

Then most likely a mask was added and then clouds.. but, it appears all of the texts look to have been masked similar.. so maybe the flatten layers tool was used?

red text set to overlay or softlight on a dark background with maybe a soft inner glow...
