I'm quite new to ImageReady but I've been using Photoshop since 7. I have a question I need an answer for, if anyone can help me out.
I need to know how to take text and have it start out with a 0% Opactiy and have it fade into 100% then back to 0% then have another section do that same until everything is done fading in and out and the animation starts over.
If anyone has a tutorial on it or can tell me here or in a PM then please tell me. I'd love to figure it out. Thank you so much for any of the information provided.

I would do it in Flash and export the movie as a gif. But that's just me lol. I don't really use Image Ready. And when I do I usually create each frame in Photoshop then save them all in a folder. I name them in the order they should be played (1,2,3 etc) Then I go into Image Ready go to File>Import>Folder as Frames and it imports all the frames in the order that they need to be in. Then to do the fading I guess you would add a tween. I know I do things wierd lol

simplest way i can think of:
1) first frame has text with opacity at 0% (which you adjust via the layer panel)
2) duplicate the frame (duplicate button is located to the left of the trash can)
3) on the second frame that u have just created, change the text opacity to 100%
4) click on the tweening button located to the left of the frame duplicating button (looks like a circle fading out) and select Tween With Previous Frame and choose let say 10 frames to add. Remember the more frames you add, the longer the animation takes. Therefore, in this case, the more frames you add in between the first and last, the longer it will take the text to fade in and out.
5) Press OK. You should see 10 frames added in between your first and last.
6) Hit the play button and watch your text fade in.
7) If you want it to fade out, simply duplicate the last frame, adjust the opacity and redo step 4.
If you want the animation to do this continuously, select "forever" from the options located to the left of the move control buttons (play, rewind etc)
any questions?

if your using imageready than you need to increase the opacity for every frame so eg on photoshop add 5% opacity than create a new layer ect, than use imageready
and add each layer on to each frame u should have around 20 frames depending on how much you increase the opacity per layer.
got it? if u have any questions than just ask me.
