ok some updates for today, im ALMOST DONEEE :D :D B) i only need to model some tires and the modeling process is done.

here are some more updates, basically what i did today, was model some windshield wipers and mirrors, and texture out the front grill, the grill took the longest because i couldnt get the texture to repeat perfectly, and maya gave me some fatal errors that sent my computers into a crazy spasm resulting in a shutdown <3

to make the grill i just made the texture in black in white (which happened to be hexagon) and i just plugged it into the specularity and the transparency nodes to make maps for the corresponding attribute.

the mirror and windshield wiper, was just basic box modeling or poly modeling w/e u wanna call it

Posted Image

up in the picture u can see the grill looks very light grey or white, this is because in maya the textures do not render inside the program (or hardware rendering) hardware rendering is just the images u see while you are working, but instead render when u export to a renderer.

and this is what it looks like after rendering

Posted Image

and thats basically the grill

and this is just a draft render without lights, textures (except of course some of the shaders), and at the lowest quality, just to see how things are going.....

Posted Image

this was rendered in mayas native renderer, but im planning to render with hrdi with mental ray, so look forward to that

yea well my friend said black and yellow stripes, but i thought it might be too hard to show the highlights and just make the car difficult to make out
