I want to design a text for a christmas video. and i had the idea of creating the letters in red an then put snow on top of them. does anybody know how to do the snow?? You know, it should look like letters which were in the snow and have now a "snowroof".

thanks for any help

I would think make a bezier spline object in the outline of the snow, then put it in an extrude object with caps or rounded caps, then texture it. I think this would work for what you're looking for. If you want it to have softer edges you could just use a noise map in the alpha channel of the snow texture and it would allow you to see through the snow in random places revealing the letter underneath.
