Does anyone know how to install the japanese pack so you can type in japanese without having Office XP? I cant afford Office XP, but our teacher wants the papers typed, so i really need these, and since its at the high school you cant really goto a lab after school or something and work on it, and only the computers in the japanese class have this installed anyways and its only unlocked when hes teaching a class, so really its like I NEED THIS lol...any help would be great...

That doesnt help me, thats doing the japanese for me...Also its not exact it just puts the words exactly as they are into japanese, kind of a crappy translation lol. I need to be able to type it into like notepad/wordperfect or something, not use a translation >.o

okay, thanks I PM'ed him, my only problem is getting IME for Windows XP without Office XP, Microsoft just has to be a retard and make it so all those running Windows XP HAVE to have Office XP to type Japanese and those running
Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 95, or Windows NT 4.0 and not running Office XP

Dont need ANy office...I swear My next computer is going to be a mac, Im sick of being stuck or having to spend like $500 just to do a simple thing on my computer, where as if I just install a previous version of windows I can easily do it by downloading it, but from Windows XP on you HAVE to have their stupid programs, Im really starting to hate Microsoft now...

Thats the problem, if you read the microsoft site it says

Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 95, or Windows NT 4.0 and not running Office XP should download Global IME.

• Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0 and running Office XP will want to upgrade to the Global IMEs for Office XP.

Thats for Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 95, or Windows NT 4.0, I dont see it giving an option for windows XP not having Office XP, I tried that top one anyways, but it didnt work.

And that other link also is saying you need the IME which is what the microsoft site is...

Okay, I officially give up, I was going to contact Microsoft for support, but it cost $35.00 even just to email them. Im not paying that much, Microsoft can be retarded sometimes...sorry if Im not allowed to say that.
