Hey guys,

I've made a render, my first one ever. I chose a fairly easy image to render, but still there could be something wrong with it. Please gimme some feedback, thanks.

It looks pretty good to me... maybe a few of the edges are a little choppy, but still pretty good nonetheless.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for your reply. It can still be done better I see yes, but it's not too bad for a first.

Anyways, I also see now that the topic is called 'Takken' instead of Tekken, my mistake.

Yeah its pretty good for a first render. Now its time to graduate to the pen tool and get smooth edges.

Thanks for your replies, and I agree, it's not the best render. Anyways, I've made some more today:

The one you made it identical... by every pixel.
Looks like original cut otu then given a huge stroke...

Of course he didn't make the image, he just cut it out. Being able to cut-out images is a very useful skill.

I have one tip for you: After you do the render, and if you have a grey line around the edge, goto Layer > Matting > Defringe and defringe it by one or two pixels. It will get rid of the grey outline or any other color stroke that appears.

Thanks, at least your reply was usefull for me. I will try doing that the next time.

About the others, I'm confused now about rendering. I took out the background indeed, but in the end I've got a render, yes? So I'm not really sure what else to call it. Thanks for your replies though

Update:

I've used the pen tool to go around the rusty edges and did a 'make-over'. What do you think now?
