hi i would like to request a tut for AE about how to make effects like the one in the images i put here, it's the ending part of an anime and i'm interested to find out how do you actually make an effect like that? because i thought it was sort of masking and vegas effect but either my eye got fooled or else i saw that the lines are splitting and merging to form the images

can you do that using vector trace from illustrator then using something with AE?

, and then in AE maybe with use of some extra plugins.. but maybe also possible without it.. need to have a closer look at it first
