Hello,
I am building a site I designed a web template with a banner and a huge menu to the left of my screen. Anyway i will have tons of links and i was wondering how i could create the site so that say someone clicks on a link only the center of the page will load (the content area). I want the menu and banner to always stay in the same spot anyway, but i would like to make the site faster so that on every link someone presses the whole menu and banner have to load again. How can i do this???
Thx

You have two options. You can do a frames page, and have the banners and menus in a frame and the content area in its own frame. You would have the links open in that target frame when clicked. Or you could make your content area an iframe. Then just make sure your links open up in the whatever the name of your iframe is.

If you're really new then start with frames (not iframes). The help system in dreamweaver is pretty good for explaining how to do it, start there. Just play with it and see what results you get, it's fairly easy to pick up on.

yes i agree, using frame is so much easier than iframe, but its ineffective in the long run.
Maybe u should target into a new window.
