I like the effects but the text ruins it.

Same problem with the text for me. I'd just go with a basic font and give it a drop shadow (2 distance and size, 100% opacity). Otherwise it looks nice.

The frist one is the best in my opinion.
Heres what I thought of the rest :
2) Way too blended, hardly see the text and the font is too plain the the render.
3) Looks nice but don't really like the outer glow in the text
4) Same of 3 really, don't like the glow.

1 2 3 are bad, but 4th is ok, though its not perfect yet.
