Hi guys im just starting out with ligthwave and im trying to make texture map for my new character. i used the unwrap plugin from Ernie Wright.

the plugin convetrs the image to *.IFF format. it says i can use Photoshop to edit the image but everytime i load it, it says its not readable or not supported. i even tried loading a completed IFF image to see if im just doing something wrong but that doesnt help.

I even tried changing the extention to PSD or JPG but that doesnt help iether.

I need help real bad. I cant the problem out of my head. THX

Im not thinking PS can take an IFF. Can the plugin output to any other formats? I think most 3d apps can output to TIFF formats, which ps can read. See if you can rename the .IFF to .TIFF or .TIF and then try to open it.

Thx 4 trying M8 but that doesnt seem to work either. I guess i'll have to find another way to create a surface map.

BTW ..... yes lightwave can export about a dozen formats that PS can read but it cant / i dont, know how to export a 2D surface from my 3D model.

Thx again.
