Okay, this is EXTREMELY hard to explain.

My original powerboard was v1.3

I updated to 2.1.X

Somehow.. I ended up with a functional board, powered by a slurred folder of 1.3 and 2.1.X folders and files.

this was interfering with the registration process, so I figured I would erase the forum folder (after backing up my database) and reinstall 2.1.X

So I reinstalled the entire folder, Tried to reload my DB backup and it failed.

I think, that this 1.3 and 2.1.X folder and file problem transfered over to the DB somehow. The only way I can think of to solve this problem is to manually go into the SQL file and filter out the users and posts etc. Unfortuatly I dont know how to do that :\

Anyone willing to help me out here? :P

When you first upgraded, did you erase all the files and folders except for the uploads dir and conf_global.php?

If you didn't erase the old files and folders, you might be running smoe 1.3 files on a 2.1.x board which could possibly be corrupting your database...

Make sure you are running all new files. The database is a lot different in 2.1.* that it was in 1.3, so if you have any old files that might be interupting your forums, then that could easily be the problem. :P

Did you buy IPB? *Hopes you did*. Check in your customer area and send a ticket to the staff. They should be able to help you ;)
