I'm running a webiste, and I'm tired of editing all my pages everytime I update with new links. I heard from a friend that I-Frames can really help you out. I'm trying to learn how to use I-Frames so whenver I update with new links, they'll appear on all pages. Is there someone who can help me out. A tutorial, a website, advice, anything would be helpful.

I have a question. Are I-Frames the only way to make it so that whenever I update my site with new links, they'll appear on other pages? Or are I-Frames my only options?

You can use PHP includes. IMO these are better than IFrames as all browsers support them and are even easier to update. http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/PHP_Co...s=PHP%20include

PHP is the best way to do this. When i started web development, i had the same problem, and i have to say, for some, PHP isn't easy. But if you understand it, it's the best thing you could ever want.

Also, the section you'd want to look at it this: http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/PHP_Co..._and_Templates/

I do agree that PHP is the best option. But it sometimes depends on your layout. :D

If you have a layout that is supposed to be a fixed size, iframes are the better option... But if you know CSS, you can still use PHP and get a better result. :)

i dont wanna be mean or nothing but what you said up there isn't necessarily true. iframes are a bad option no matter what when you can use php to achieve the same thing.

and i just dont get how css can come in to play with your php usage and its productivity.

CSS's overflow attribute making the i-frame like appearance. It's not so much that it affects the PHP, it's that it keeps a fixed width template from breaking (like an i-frame could do).

My advice is not to use iframes at all, use php includes.

Includes are far better ;) I-Frames are terrible for search engines, cause u will get the link to the page that doesnt have the frames on
