Boxes appearing?!

I was playing with a PSD in Dreamweaver, but when I go too far down in the main content box, it brings down the left side but not the right. Hopefully the picture will explain more, but basically, after a certain amount of <br>'s, a cell appears above the navigation and gets bigger with each new line break.
Why?

Don't use photoshop to slice your templates. Hand code them, trust me (and the 5 other people that will eventually say this), it pays off in the end (and photoshop simply sucks).
Don't worry about what you see in Dreamweaver, it's not right, and rarely will be.

With that said, i don't see a problem with the picture...

But they still show up when I preview with Firefox/IE?

But I didn't slice it - it was a PSD that someone had used in a tutorial, and I was playing with it looking around.
