My final question on SEO I promise :)

I did a link checker on www.w3.org and I got this

List of broken links and redirects

Fragments listed are broken. See the table below to know what action to take.

Code Occurrences What to do
403 1 The link is forbidden! This needs fixing. Usual suspects: a missing index.html or Overview.html, or a missing ACL.
---->www. my site.com<--- Made up but its really www.amstar.us
What to do: The link is forbidden! This needs fixing. Usual suspects: a missing index.html or Overview.html, or a missing ACL.
Response status code: 403
Response message: Forbidden
Line: 120
Checked 1 document in 9.7 seconds.

Does this effect search engines? This is just a link to log on. If it does effect Search Engines what can I do to pervent this?

If it is just a link on the page then it shouldn't affect search engine result.

No it wont effect anything, that page will come up in a search but it will only display what a guest can view. That page most likely wont be very high on the list, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have plenty of pages guests can't view and when they are searched it just comes up with "Welcome Guest, please login" in the descriptions.

It shouldn't effect the page rank at all, or any results for the other pages of your website.
