Whenever I save an animation that I made on Cinema4D, the file size is always very big. Most of the animation I do is a simple rotation, and I always convert it to a gif file in Image Ready.

The render settings I change :

Anti-aliasing : Best
Save : Quicktime Photoshop

Is quicktime photoshop too high a quality to save each frame as?

Never save anything as quicktime when your taking it to photoshop, just save it as a plain ps file. And anti-aliasing at best is killing you. The higher the AA the slower the render and the crisper the image and also can mean larger file sizes. Other than that complex renders will always be big and you have to use the optimize settings in Image Ready to get your size down. My avatar was huge when it was first made in image ready, i just had to play with the optimize settings to get it down.
