Hello everybody,

As a favor to one of my friends I agreed to make a bulletlogo for his student production company. This is a short animation that he can throw up at the beginning of his student films. His company is called "One Man Army" so I decided to do a Russian Constructivist animation in After Effects. Here is a comp I came up with: http://www.stationar...comp(grain).png

I would like to have an animation of the globe rotating and I might also want the radio tower to rotate with it, although I'm not sure if it would look better if the radio tower was stationary. I was then going to animate the radio waves in after effects, and also animate a large, paper cut-out soviet worker with a big flag who comes up and plants the flag in the place of the radio tower, similar to this: http://www.stationar.../bulletLogo.jpg. He was then going to mouth "One Man Army" and the words would come out similar to this: http://funkysouls.co...rdinand2005.jpg.

I was wondering which 3D app would be best to get the sphere and tower to look as close to the design comp as possible? I'm hoping for a vectored look.

well i would suggest Bryce 5 or UleadCool3d 3.5 or UleadProductionStudio
it gives you a custom shape like that globe thing
so yeah i would suggest one of those three choices

upon personal flava, id highly recommend 3d studio max, max can import vectors, path from ilustrator etc etc

i dont know about other modeling appz, but u can easily make the wire frame look of ur globe, or u cna just add a texture, u could try cell shading, which by personal experience never fail me and look real cool
