I have a gradient that I want in a different color, how can I do this? (I have a specific color that I want it to be)
Is it possible to match colors for the gradient?

I'm using Photoshop 6

Hit CTRL+U and adjust the sliders.

I know I can use CTRL+U to change the colors but I want to know how I can change colors with the layer style gradient, if I CTRL+U now nothing happens because I'm using the layer style gradient.

What coolaid said works, but there's something else you can do to edit the actual gradient layer style.

Just open up the gradient editor in the layer styles window, open up the color select window for whichever section of the gradient you want to change. You can change the value labelled as "H" to change the hue without disturbing the brightness or saturation.

But for an easier way just do what coolaid said.
