Hi I'm working on the design of my own site. It's a bit of a WIP as I'm not done yet and I'd also like some crits and recommendations.

Posted Image

I'd really like to get every single detail down exactly the way I want it in PS and then begin coding, so I know exactly what I'm trying to do. I hate having to be testing things during the coding stage, it's time consuming and a waste.

I haven't decided on a logo as yet so there'll be something to the left of the |

Thanks for looking.

I really like the header and its colors :P
The design is good overall, simple, but neat and nice.

Thanks for the comments so far guys, Im taking everything into consideration.

Everything I'll be doing in CSS, but I didn't want a "css-looking" navigation bar, if you understand what I mean.

That's the look I'm aiming for PSGirl, thanks :P

Right now I'm reading up on web typography, so the content section's fonts and layout aren't fixed as yet.

Looks really sharp! The diagonal lines going through the text area makes the text a little harder to read...but its not that bad...definatly still readable. Really like it tho, good work!

Thanks, those scan lines are there because I originally had content boxes with plain white backgrounds to hold the text, but I decided to just do without them. I think on a webpage it might be slightly more readable.

Hi I updated it, made some changes to the text in the header.
Decided I'd just forget about a logo (at least for now).
Biggest change was to the navbar, I'm going to use tabs instead.

About the content are, I think I'll have 3 columns, left for content, maybe one for latest blog entries, and another one for useful links.

Sounds interesting?
