Ok, so I ahve come to the conclusion that Flash hates me, and probably wishes for me to go to hell and die. First off I'm completely new at flash, for the most part. I understand most of the basics, and Funky's awesome tut on the mp3 player was my real first dive into flash and AS.
I'm going on 1 week on my MP3 player. 1/2 of the time has been me messing around with the AS, trying to fix the mistakes i did, giving me "undefines" & "NaN" as a trace output or improperly displaying certain parts ONCE i got them to display.
So I spent, a good 12 hour day between photoshop (desiging my mp3) and flash (importing my pictures: converting and naming them as instances) & a good 4 days coding, 2 of which I didnt go to sleep for around 30+ hrs. FINALLy, my mp3 player was done. I could reside in the fact that i wasnt going to go bald form pulling out my hair. I publish my movie. Run the .swf real quick just to take pride in my work, everything runs PERFECT. goto dreamweaver, upload everything. Wuts the first thing i notice. The display time, isnt there. The only text box i have, everything else is images, doesnt show up.
HOW IN GODS NAME IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?! When i view the swf everything runs perfect, as soon as i put it into a browser and view it. the text doesnt show up.
Some1 plz help. i'm not a good loser lol and im losing so much sleep over this.

Ok Here a few things you need to watch out for
- are you sure that the dynamic text box has the appropriate instancename (casesensitive)
- correct linkage to the xml file?
- no special character that could break the xml?
If you checked everything and it still doesn't work drop me a PM.
Thanks

Note To Self: When exporting a flash movie, check the version. Hence, Flash 8 SWF requires Flash 8 Player installed on browser :/
I love the obvious simplicites of webdesign
. It makes life seem so much simpler.
