This probably sounds like a really simple question or something but i'm pretty new to photoshop. I just need a really easy way to convert a black background into white on a 1 layer picture. E.g - I have a picture, just the 1 layer (jpeg), and it has a black background, i need to change the background to white without damaging the main part of the picture. And btw i cant use magic wand or anything it's really complicated :P Any suggestions please. Edit - Sorry i'm an idiot, didn't see the photoshop section on help. :P

Select, colour range, shadows. It selects all the black.

Fiddled with the brightness a bit and used the colour range, and worked fine, thanks a million Bryn :)
