once i have drawn one side of something, how would i go about flipping it over? would it be in 2 diff layers, then merge them?
Also how do i make sure my object isnt slanted?

welll an easy way would be to duplicate the layer. Then press ctrl + t and right click on the image, and choose to flip horintical.

Then make sure your canvas is double in width
then move the layer in place and merge the two layers.

You'll need some tweaking afterwards to make them look like there 1 picture.
Buts thats basicly the idea!
