just create a white/grey/sky blue plane under your objects.

There is a very nice tutorial about this topic, but it didnt real work for me, maybe since you are more pro-like it will for you.
Plz if it works alter it a little and make a "moron" version for me plz!

for a basic generic back ground go to render - - - environment - - - change the color of background.
this is good if you do floaty items (items you do for skill show and not for scenes)
