HMMMMMm i have just realized i havnt told you guys @ P2L about my new years eve near death experience

for those of you familiar wiv NZ this is just after the lindis pass, for those of you that arnt this is a country road tht is at a high altitude (sorta)

i was shot at 2ce by an angry farmer for stretching on the side of the road. i was goin for a we walk about 4-5 meters away from the main road, the terrrain was sorta hilly thankfully. next this ute comes along in the padic next to me i just c him as i lookd round to c my mum and i looked away, then in my head i was like "was tht a barell of a gun" just as i went to look i heard a bang and instantly dived into a ditch then proned my way along this ditch into the car.

now every one knows how wen ur life is threatend like tht for some reason u see time slower and things more clearly well as i dived i c this bulllet go strait over top of me, i was friggen crawling as fast as possible then i hear another gun shot and it just scrapes the bank and dissapears.

the first thing i said wen we took of in the car was "that son of a b#tch put a f#kin hole in my L.A shirt" my mum was like what about ur lyf we can always go back to L.A

it neva hit me tht i cud be dead until i awoke on xmass and got my xmass pressies.

 :D

EDIT: wow kool tht was my 300 post

Wow dude O.o

Some people ar crazy!

I know the feeling, it has occured to me in car accidents, you can feel everything slow down. It's also happened when I was playing paintball, normall you can see them zing by, one hit me in the face(with a mask on of course :D ) and It felt like it was inches from my face for a little over 5 seconds, it's weird how thrown off your time-space perpective is thrown off when things like that happen to you.

There's an explaination I learned on Criminal Minds last night  Your conscious mind can process 5 bits/second, while your subconcious can process 11 million ;) When those things happen your brain kicks into "survival mode" and diverts everything to your key senses :P

Enough of my smart babble ;) Good to see you're still standing :)

Edit: According to research I don't think this has scientific merit, probably one of those things thrown in to make them sound smart

One very long sleep lol, I think you mean Christmas Eve not New Years Eve.

He must of been shooting at you for a reason, were you on his land? We used to shoot at anyone who came within cooie of our farm when I lived in New Zealand, ignore the signs and get shot at. Your also in an area where they do a lot of hunting maybe you were mistaken for a deer or something.

Did your mother report it?

well sheep and cattle are normally farmed animals not hunted lol

One thing that does not make a lot of sense is the bullet hole in your t-shirt <_< sorry but find that a little hard to believe, have you got a link to a news story on this? Something like this would of made the newspapers at least in New Zealand.

HAHA :D

The story kinda seems true...apart from the 'seeing the bullet' part <_< How could you see it go over the top of you? No one in the world could have reflexes like that in such a short distance with a gun...impossible. ;)

Could you get a pic of the t-shirt? :o I wanna see how much of an impact the bullet made.

Codie,

I know the feeling pretty well. I have had my share of times being shot. You don't even notice that you were shot untill you look down and see it or you saw the bullet come at you. You did the right thing by going prone when you heard that bullet. If your even being shot at you want to switch your stance a lot unless there is an area where you can hide. I'm really amazed you did that right away. You must have played your share fo counter strike ;)

I think you might have been mistaken for a deer or another animal. And I know, it's pretty weird when everything slows down. The weird thing is that your thoughts are still going fast. And that's what cause this affect. It's because your thoughts are going so fast that you seem to feel like everything is going slower.

Codie, you are very lucky that the bullet didn't hit you in a spot where it could easily kill you. And for having no armor you even more lucky. I don't know about your religion but every morning I always pray and kiss the cross. I always carry it. It keeps you safe. Now that's based on your religion but for me, being cathlic, I belive that the man above is always watching out for me. And I think he was watching for you too.

Donna, Sometimes when your being shot at it feels like you can see the bullets like a matrix one. Kind of cool once you get by the fact that your being shot at and those bullets could kill you
