I wouldn't say random. You put it what you want it to look like sorta.

Good simple sigs excellent first time effort with Terragen also.

Not a bad start. It is sort of basic though for a Terragen sig. The lighting and angle could use some work, but the clouds look pretty good.
Also, if you're going to manip it then you should add more to it than just colors... If you want I can post some examples of Terragen manips I've done.
