do you think is possible to play dvd movie in my cdrom drve??
please help me here

It depends on your drive. Also you need to have a program that plays DVD's.

Correct me if I'm wrong but DVD players use different lasers and have different on-board chips, which is why DVD drives are sold separately.

Nope, there is no way you can play DVDs with a normal CD drive. Unless if it was a DVD combo drive, in which case it can write cds but not write dvds, only read them. The way they are written is different, along with their chemical makeup, which is why they are the same size as a CD but can hold more information.

Your best be would be to buy a DVD drive. And seeing that combo drives arent that much more expensive, id invest in one of them, unless you wanted a DVD RW.
