alright so i want to learn 3ds, and was wounder what are good books for people tha t have never touched the program and will be opening it for the first time. Im going to be learning it in school, but it is one of the last courses, and i dont want to wait to learn it. i kinda want to be ahead of the game. so if anyone could recommend some good learning books that would be awesome.

Thank you

First book should be 3DS Max Bible, with the version you have or lower.
Then Insight 3DSMax is very good as well, but a ot more expensive
Then you can go to the specialized books (animation with character studio, special projects etc.)

That s my humble opinion.

I've liked the book
"3ds max 5 Fundamentals" it's also suitable for higher versions :)
