Convert MS Access serial date format to string format

I have a database setup in Access with a Date/Time field. When I pull it into my asp page, its showing it as 01/01/2006. Is there a way to convert this format to a string format (January 01, 2006). I want to keep it in the number format on the database, because in all pages but one it would be best for space reasons, but this one page really needs to be written out. If I HAVE to I'll switch over to the long version on the database, but I saw no way of changing the format from Access. Please help. Thanks in advance.
